What is your bike size?
On our website you will find a whole bunch of great bikes in all shapes, colors and sizes.
There are of course several things it is best to consider when choosing a bicycle. For starters, what you are going to use your bike for is very important. Are you going to use your bike for your commute, for short rides around town, or rather for longer trips on rougher terrain? There are bikes that are perfectly tuned for each use. Choosing the right kind of bike will only benefit your cycling enjoyment and comfort! But we've already written a blog post about that. You can find that here.
Once you have determined what kind of bike you need, it is of course important to know what your bike size is. In this blog, we would like to explain to you how to find out your bike size.
What is your bike size?
With the bikes here on our website, you'll see a size listed everywhere. That size refers back to the size of the bike frame, and is determined by the length of the tube between the saddle and the pedals.

To know which frame size corresponds to your height, you can measure your inseam. You do this by measuring your leg from your crotch to the ground. For best results, place your feet about 20 inches apart and measure without shoes on.
You multiply that result in centimeters by 0.65. What you then get is roughly your bike size.

We say roughly, because how you sit on your bike and how your saddle and handlebars are set can always add up to a few more sizes. There is also some difference between different bike brands, and between how you sit on a road bike and a city bike. All of that also causes some change in your ideal bike size.
Still, frame size is already a very good indication of which bike is ideal for you. After all, a bike whose frame is too big will always be too big for you, regardless of what kind of bike it is and how your saddle and handlebars are adjusted.
Size chart
To make things a little easier, we have a handy general size chart for you here! This size chart is a good guideline for determining your bike size for city bikes and electric bikes. For bikes with a suspension seat post, it is best to subtract a few sizes, as the saddle is usually higher on these types of bikes.

With mountain bikes, this table is not correct. After all, you sit on a mountain bike in a completely different way. Therefore, we have prepared a separate table for you to determine your bike size on a mountain bike.

These size charts are a good guide, but the most important thing is of course that you come and 'try on' a bike in the store by doing a short test ride. That way you can immediately feel whether the bike fits you and we can adjust the saddle and handlebars so that the bike is perfectly adjusted to your body.
If you see a bike on our website that appeals to you, just send us an email. We will then be happy to get that bike out of our warehouse for you, so it will be ready for you in our store the next day and you can come and test it without any obligation.
You can view the offer in Antwerp and Lier very easily by clicking the button with the city of your choice. This will show you which bikes we can provide for you.
This is because we cannot deliver a bike from our warehouse in Lier to you in Antwerp or vice versa.
