Did you know that in our new store at Lier you will also find a real coffee and lunch bar?

After all, cycling makes you hungry and thirsty!

In the heart of Antwerpsestraat in Lier you will find the new bicycle store of De Wielredders. Here you can find first-class second-hand bikes, bicycle repairs and bicycle accessories. But on top of that, in our cozy coffee bar you can now also enjoy delicious coffee and have breakfast or lunch!

The menu includes a wide selection of coffee and tea, bagnats, salads, croques and cakes and pastries.

Combining a bike store with a coffee and lunch store may be an unusual combination at first glance, but for us it was an obvious choice.

In our store in Antwerp, we've noticed it for years: people who bring their bikes in for a short bike repair, like to take advantage of that lost hour to go out for coffee.

In addition, de Wielredders is a project of the social employer Werkmmaat vzw. In Lier we also provide the Reading Café and the Coffee House in the City Park. As a result, as an organization we already have years of experience in setting up and running a coffee bar. So it was only a small leap for us to turn one plus one into three.

As with the Reading Café and the Coffee House, we also consciously work with ingredients and local suppliers who value sustainability and conscious trade in our Wheel Savers coffee bar. After all, this is also very important to de Wielredders itself!

So be sure to stop by to chill out, plan your next bike ride at lunch, or enjoy a coffee while your bike is being repaired!
